Lanai Hunting Applications Now Available on Go Hunt Hawaii

Hunting applications for the island of Lanai will now be hosted on Go Hunt Hawaii, Hawaii’s official hunting resource. Through the website, hunters can enroll in a hunter education class, view their class history, order a replacement certification card, manage their hunting profile and apply for hunts.

The steps for hunters to apply on Go Hunt Hawaii were created with user ease in mind. Users begin by accessing the website and logging on using their Hawaii hunter education certification number (or exemption number), date of birth and last name. Users then click “Apply for Hunts” to select a hunt, read the details and apply. Once the online application process is complete, users then pay the $10 fee per hunter.

The application period for the next hunting season (Mouflon Sheep) will begin March 23, 2020.

Since 1979, close to 70,000 students have received their certifications through the Department of Land and Natural Resources (DLNR) Hunter Education Program. Over 2,000 students register and attend Hunter Education classes each year.

The DLNR, Division of Forestry and Wildlife’s online hunting application was created in partnership with Hawaii Information Consortium, LLC, the official Internet portal manager of eHawaii.gov.
