Hawaii Delivers Your Government – Your Way
State Updates Website, Keeps Focus on Users with the New Personalized Dashboard my.hawaii.gov
With the promise of bringing ‘Your Government – Your Way,’ the State of Hawaii rolled out updates to its website, Hawaii.gov, and launched its newest service – my.hawaii.gov. The new tool is a one-stop shop allowing Hawaii residents to completely customize how they interact online with the state on any device, anywhere, anytime – securely and reliably.
With a first of its kind approach to the gamification of government, my.hawaii.gov leverages the existing portal architecture and utilizes its single sign-on system. The new service integrates with seven of the 17 departments and includes a rich, personalized history of all business conducted online with the state. It also directly integrates with almost 60 of the 100+ online services offered in Hawaii. For highlights of the great new features, visit m.hi.gov/myhi.
My.hawaii.gov features:
- Access all transaction history with most state and county agencies in one place
- Get real-time information on filings, licenses and more
- Single sign on technology
- mySavings functionality shows savings of using online service over traditional method
- Gamification elements provide tips of what users can do with their new-found time
- Responsive design, touch-first interface
Hawaii.gov continues to bring additional upgrades to the award-winning Hawaii.gov website, including:
- Advanced search: filters for news, videos, images and related searches
- Language translation
- Geolocation mapping service allows visitors to find government offices, EV stations, farmers markets, and more.
To help citizens stay connected to their government, we offer 273 social media pages, 1,200+ Twitter followers, a Flickr photo pool, and 20 YouTube videos. The online services area now includes how-to videos and detailed information pages for each service. Navigation between the 60 mobile apps, 100+ online services, and trending data is easier than ever.
For fun, we’ve also created the error page of Armageddon – portal.ehawaii.gov/404, a secret konami code, and a changing design based on time of day.
